I ordered Zenia labeled indigo and instead received generic packaged indigo that I'm not certain is 100% pure, since the packaging I received says it's for body art, which means it may have been chemically processed so it will better stain the skin, so I'm uncertain how I will react to it if I put it on my hair. I would have scored this item lower, but I did receive prompt shipping from the seller, though I didn't get either item I ordered in the packaging I ordered, so other buyers should beware that while you'll get an item labeled henna or indigo from this seller, it may not be the Zenia labeled product you're expecting!

This is the first time I use Indigo hair dye and I am very pleased with this product and its results. I mixed three teaspoons of indigo powder, three teaspoons of Mehendi powder and water in a small size shampoo bottle, then let it sit overnight. The consistency was more soupy than pasty. The next morning I applied this mixture to my hair and let it sit for seven hours. The end result was a nice black color with reddish brown highlights and I liked it. However, my ultimate goal is for my hair color to be more brown than black. I decided to purchase and add the indigo to the mehendi powder to help cover the gray, but I need to manipulate the ammounts of powder better because the stubborn hairline gray did not take the dye. Otherwise, this product is really good, is natural and does not dry the hair. Laslty, keep in mind that henna powders are messy to use and stain rapidly so care should be taken prior to use.
