The color stayed vivid the whole night under hot and humid circumstances, but by the next morning was faint. One wash got all of the color from my hair, which is great.Be sure to use leave-in conditioner as directed. You can also ensure the color stays adhered by hairspraying the section of hair immediately before and after applying the product. If you do it right, your hair will be the exact same shade as the product.Works best for highlights. Your fingers will get very pink if you don't have gloves, but it comes off with a couple washes with soap. I didn't have an issue getting the chalk on my clothing, but I only highlighted a few strands, so probably use a towel if you're doing more than that.

I purchased this for my granddaughter and I to have some fun this summer adding color to our hair. I also used on my Maltese's ponytail and she looked sooo cute!

The color is very nice, pretty much what you see is what you get. Product was shipped in a timely manner. It showed up on my dark brown hair a little differently of course and I had to apply quite a bit to get the desired result. Blonde hair would obviously be much better. My real issue though is the mess you will make putting this on and wearing it. The packaging does warn you to wear with dark clothing. It really depends in how much of a mess you're willing to deal with to use this. It will get on your bathroom counters and your hands when you mess with your hair later and your pillowcase if you don't wash it out before bed etc etc...not worth the mess to me BUT if you are bothered enough to be very, very careful it's okay. Just okay.
