As others have said, the amount of product is very small. The instructions say that you may not need all of the developer, but go ahead and pour it all in or you won't have enough to cover your hair. The package contained about the right amount for my hair (a very short pixie cut), and it lightened my dark blonde/light brown hair very quickly. I was very pleased with it. If your hair is longer than a couple of inches, though, you'll need at least 2 boxes.

...There was more product in the package...Ran out of the product half way through...looks like Christmas barfed on my head with all the different shades of color!

Used this to cover my dark brown, almost black roots. There is really only enough in here to do roots but that's fine as I am already bleached blonde. Worked quickly, itched like mad and was white blonde within 45 minutes. However I have seen significant breakage around my roots since using this probably as I am not great at not overlapping the bleach with the previously bleached hair, still that has never happened with 30 vol before so I think I will revert back to that this month. Do not advise unless your hair is as strong as rope!
