Fanci-ful, #56, Bashful Blonde, temporary color rinse, is great for dull and grey hair root touch-up on light, natural blonde hair. Just wash your hair and towel dry to soak up the excess water before applying the rinse, then apply to your wet hair. Comb through and blow-dry (or whatever it is you do to fix your hair). I spray on a hair shiner and fluff it in with my fingers just after adding the rinse, then blow-dry. The directions on the rinse say to squirt some into your palm and apply to your scalp, but I find that kind of messy to do on myself. I've been using this rinse for so long that it comes pretty easy just to open the cap and squirt small doses along my part line and wherever else I feel the need to apply the rinse, rubbing that in as I go. Sometimes I lift and part some hair around my crown and squirt some in there and rub it in with my fingers, but make sure you shake-up the bottle before you use it each time, as it settles and gets thicker at the bottom of the bottle. For me, it just takes a small amount, and I NEVER use it on dry hair, only freshly washed wet hair. Bashful Blonde works great for me, I like it very much but his color is getting hard to find, and my local stores have stopped stocking it. Even the beauty supply stores have discontinued it. Wal-Mart sold this color up until this June, when I purchased the last bottles they had; even Walgreens stopped selling this color. The clerk at Walgreens told me it's because many people complain, thinking this is a 'hair dye' and, after using the entire bottle in one application, become disappointed when it doesn't change their hair color and gunks up their hair. Seems odd since the directions are right there on the back of the bottles, but she must hear all kinds of stories. Sigh...makes it too bad for people like me to easily obtain and who use this product with good results. Now I'm only able to find this color online, and it can get pretty expensive online, depending on the seller.

Amazon to the rescue again -- I have used this product for years and couldn't find a refill anywhere else.My baby-fine hair sometimes comes out too gold and too brash,even when the salon takes special care to add the needed ash tones to the formula. I use this wash-right-out rinse the first time I shampoo just after dying my hair. It tones down gold tones nicely. After a few washings it may not be needed any more until the next time.
