I initially really liked this product (coverage, ease of use, etc). However, the further along I had it, the harder it was to apply and covering took a lot more effort. Oh, and yes, it does rub off, so you have to reapply in the morning if you do not shampoo your hair. I also had to reapply more often after the first few uses - I guess it dries out fairly quickly and not much was getting on the hair unless you pressed really hard. I kept it covered at all times, even in a tiny ziplock bag to hopefully prevent it from drying out, but it still dried up. You would think that after a couple of months there would still be a lot more product (considering the size of the applicator), but nope! FYI - I color my hair every 4-5 weeks. So, the bottom-line: first couple of months - good. After that, not sure I could recommend or say it is worth the money. Yes, still better than the "lipstick" type because your hair is not dull after application and you do not need to wet the tip first (as you do some of the lipstick types). But for $20++? No, can't say I will buy it again.

A felt-tip marker for your roots, what could be easier? Does the trick, dries quickly and once dry does not feel stiff or seem to rub off. Comes out when you wash your hair. The light brown is a little reddish for my hair but covers the grey roots and can be blended into the hair subtly enough.
