I did the hair on my head, my sideburns, goatee and stache and left the product on for three hours and hopped in the shower and got out and checked it and the grey is gone. Great for those with allergies!

I had used other beard dye products for years with no problems. However, a few months ago, I started having allergic reactions to the "Just ..." 5 minute dye. After several tests, I verified that the chemicals in the dye were the problem. So, I tried two other 5 or 10 minute dyes with the same problems. Henna seemed to be the only product on the market that was advertised as being organic so I switched to it. After several applications, I can report no allergic reactions and very acceptable results. There are some downsides: 1. Henna doesn't cover the gray as completely as the other products did. 2. Henna tends to wash out after two weeks or so if you shower every day. 3. You have to keep Henna on for an hour rather than 5 to 10 minutes. All things considered, I am very happy with the Henna Beard Dye and highly recommend it to others. Just a few tips: 1. I use only a small portion of the powder for each application even though I have a full beard. That makes it cost much less than the other products. 2. Apply petroleum jelly to the areas around your beard and mustache to help prevent staining of the skin. 3. When you shower, don't shampoo your beard, just rinse it. 4. Although my beard is medium brown, I use the dark brown Henna for better coverage of the gray. 5. Use a small brush to apply the paste rather than your fingers. I use all the left-over brushes from the "Just ..." product.

I became allergic to traditional hair and beard dyes about three years ago. I thought I was going to have to let the grey grow out until I discovered this product. Henna King did just what it promised to do. I did the hair on my head, my sideburns and my beard and goatee all at once. I left the product on for three hours and got in the shower and the grey is gone! Amazing and no burning or itching or sores. If you're skeptical like I was just give it a try and I think you'll be as happy as I am now. The color is supposed to come full circle in 48 hours but I'm liking it right after rinsing it out. This product take a bit more time to work than the drugstore dyesIt has no chemicals, and being that I tried just about every major product, and have broken out in a rash, this one does not.
