This is a good BAQ henna!

I bought this henna from a local Indian grocer at the price of $2.99 for 100 grams.The henna powder is a nice shade of green, smells like fresh cut grass and is sifted pretty well (In the future I will sift it prior to use). This henna is Body Art Quality (BAQ). BAQ henna is made for use on skin but can be used on hair as well. Using BAQ henna is important because they do not contain harmful metallic salts that hennas made "for hair only" may contain. This brand of henna has a manufacturing date and an expiration date on the package unlike some other brands of henna. This is important because the coloring properties of henna degrade over time--one needs to know whether the henna they are purchasing will be effective.I used this brand for my first henna treatment--a henna gloss using CurlyNikki's recipe and Aubrey Organics Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner. My 14 year old wanted to try doing henna tattoos on herself and her friends. We priced out the tubes of pre-mixed henna and they didn't seem very cost-effective by volume. We decided to try mixing the powder ourselves and also bought the Beachcombers! 1/2 Oz & 1oz Soft Squeeze Fine Metal Tip Moroccan Blunt Needle Syringe Type Body Art Henna Tattoo Applicators, 5 Tips 4 Bottles. We found a great and easy henna recipe at [...]. You have to mix the henna to the right thickness in order to get it in and out of the bottles, but once you get it right, this powder produces a lovely henna. It goes on light and darkens within 24 hours. I definitely recommend it.

I love this henna for my hair. I got it from my local Indian grocery for 1.99. I mixed the henna with black tea, amla oil, sesame seed oil, plain yogurt and an egg. The mixture rinsed well and did not leave my hair dry. This henna will probably be my staple henna.

i brought this product after reading all the reviews on it from amazon and other places i wanted to add shine to my hair and change my hair color without using harsh products. well i followed the directions except when i was waiting for it to cool off i put i ice pack on top of my shower cap to seel in the color but i did wait the 5 min anyways, after i washed it out my hair felt coated like everyone said but if felt kinda hard also, but after i shampooed and conditioned it was soft and it made my hair jet black which i loved because everyone said it would only give you a hue in your hair but it changed my whole hair color. the only thing i didnt like was that it didnt give my hair much shine like everyone was raving about i mean thats one of the main reasons i brought this product was for the shine but i did love the color it came out thats why i gave it four starsps. the color i got was deep brunette you do need to wear gloves because it is very messy and it will stain your skin but not runny like other products, oh and it kinda smells like paint to me anyway

Good stuff

Upon using this the 1st time, I was a little disappointed because it made my hair flat and greasy feeling. The next time, I used only a dime size (my hair is mid-back) and it worked much better. It made my hair soft and shiny. I'm not so sure that it locks the color in, but it did make the texture of my hair feel good.

IM HAPPY WITH THIS BRAND

I bought the purple rage at a beauty store for 3.99 i bleached my hair and applied it and it says leave it on for 15 minutes but i left it on for 45 min when i washed it out it was a bright vibrant purple and lasted 3 months until my roots started growing in it did fade a little bit but not as bad as some semi permanent dye's use gloves and make sure to put Vaseline on forehead ears n neck cause it will dye them if any dye gets on there when washing out use cold or Luke warm water and towel dry once washed out and towel dried it does not stain your sheets pillow case neck or face while sleeping which i love cause i have used some dye's that do stain those thing but over all this is a great product for a great price i recommend it

I have medium brown hair and was looking to add a little zazz so I tried this stuff out. Basically just went ahead and slapped on a couple streaks, as per the directions. Provided my own comb and rubber gloves and a grocery sack for my head, no fuss, no frills. As cheap and simple as the process was I was prepared for complete failure, but I did get a *very* subtle hint of color which was what I was looking for and I quite like it. I could do with a bit more impact so may experiment with more treatments in the future, but I was pleased that I was able to get a pleasant color very easily, without any bleaching or processing, just shampoo and a hair dryer and following the directions on the bottle. Took about 20 minutes. For the price and the ease of use, I'd say this product is a pretty good value. Someone who knew what they were doing could probably get even more out of it.

PURE AWESOMNESS!

I was a little nervous about dying my hair magenta since it was the first bold color I have ever done. I was pleasantly surprised by this dye. It came out very vibrant! On the bottle it says to only leave in for 15 min but I did 30 mins. I love the color! Mine didn't come with any gloves or a cap like it says to put over your head after applying it to hair so if you want to buy this, I'd get gloves and a plastic cap or just tie a grocery bag over your hair like I did lol

Smells funky, looks PRETTY!

I've been dying my hair over ten years and this is the first time I've tried HENNA. It was delivered quick.Usually it takes ten minutes to dye my hair, hair dye from the box. It leaves my hair dry, brittle and broken ends.I was put off by the mixture, muddy, poopy looking and smelled like, well, smelled like hippies aka sweetgrass. I caked it on my hair and left it in for one hour (two hours is recommended) I couldnt leave it longer than that, way to impatient.I washed, dried and am amazed at the glint and shine I'm getting from my happy hair!I will do this again and even though I didn't enjoy the time and clean up of this project I really enjoyed the results. grab a glass of wine and get comfortable and wait for amazing not to mention NATURAL results! I will be able to grow my hair long now that I've found a dye that won't ruin it!

I bought this along with a carmel color to create a beautiful color close to my natural. I have no professional experience (but with professional advice) I bought the color and solution. Just like box color - you mix the color and solution in a bottle, apply to your hair, wait about 20 minutes (under heat for me) and voila!

Easy to use

I color my hair to hide a little gray. At first I had to do some research on adding the solution, but its a simple one to one mix. I have long hair so I use 3 oz color and 3 oz solution, and i mix several colors to get the shade i want. Just bought some plastic gloves and mixing bottle at local sally's, put it on dry hair, wait 20 mins and wash out. It's good quality color, and i like that it will eventually wash out. That way it doesnt seem like such a drastic change when i do dye my hair to get rid of the gray.
