Wow...That is Really Red

If you have dark hair and want to be a real Red Head, Then this is for you. Now I am not talking copper or ginger...no...this is a real deep red, I think that the word garnet would describe it nicely.My hair is dark in color(I have been dying it for around 20 years now and I couldn't say for certain what that real color is anymore) I also have a lot of gray. This product still works wonders even with both of those things working against me, plus the conditioner that comes with it keeps my hair soft and silky. A real plus for those wiry grays.I love that my hair gets full color coverage and I get loads of wonderful compliments.I have tried several other brands, using the Burgundy color offered, trying to get a nice deep color. However while the color I get from those brands is nice, it is never very vibrant,and I still ended up looking mainly brownish. So I am thrilled with this Garnier Nutrisse Haircolor and the deep garnet red my hair has become. I also like the fact that the color settles in and looks so sparkly, shiny and beautiful right until I need to touch up my gray roots.Just remember to rinse really well when washing out the dye, or you will get red rinse water the next time you wash your hair. That red run-off might just freak you out like it did to me the first time I used this color.

Dark hair to RED!

I get so many compliments on my hair color. I dyed directly over dark brown hair and it's a beautify auburn red in low light and gorgeous bright red in daylight. Full coverage.Your shower will look like a murder scene after using it though..and it rinses red for quite awhile. Be careful wearing light colored shirts for a couple weeks.

So I have been buying this brand dye for the last two summers for a reason: IT WORKS! My hair is a natural dark, dark brown and I haven't had it bleached. I was very skeptical the first time I bought this hair dye as I've tried others that "said" my hair would come out a beautiful deep red color, but all it does is tint my dark brown hair and is never noticeable. Since I've been a teenager I've always wanted to try a very deep red color (I have fair skin, freckles, and blue eyes) and thought it would look very flattering. Well this color is absolutely perfect. I will say though that I have very long thick hair and I use a complete two boxes.Also, for the first application my hair was completely brown and the color faded rather quickly...it looked great the first week and a half, but I had to color it again two and half weeks later to have that same beautiful color that didn't look faded and dull. The next time I was able to wait 4 weeks, then about 8 weeks, and then just left it for a for about 3 and half months until I went fully DARK brown again. It's important to note though that after two weeks of dying my hair dark the red started coming through again, which I just left alone because I thought it looked very nice and subtle, but after time it was less brown and more reddish. So for other girls with dark hair, just be prepared to have a very permanent red color if you use this product repeatedly.Be prepared: The color in the bottle will turn the color of kids orange finger paint and this is normal. Make sure to put lotion or something else around your hairline so you don't have a red face. If it drips somewhere, wash immediately so it doesn't stain. When you rinse your hair out it will look like a CRIME SCENE in the shower. I usually spray 409 all over the shower when I'm done just to be sure.*TIPS*I usually only use this color in the warmer/hot months because having red hair really is hard work. Use ONLY cold water to rinse your hair..it will make it last longer. I wash my entire body, shave, etc before even getting my hair wet so it limits how long my hair is wet and dripping. Your hair will rinse orange for a while, and yes it will stain everything in the bathroom if are flipping your wet hair around.Try to limit the amount of heat you use on your hair. I usually blow dry my roots, the top layer of my hair, and the ends slightly (other wise it dries funny) and that's it. I will then usually wave it, and only do touch ups for the next three day so I only need to wash 2x a week or so.
