Get 100g of indigo for every six inches of hair. Curly hair will need more. 200g is usually enough for shoulder length hair.
Mix the indigo in a plastic bowl with warm water.
Wait 10-15 minutes, you will see the green powder start to turn a deep purple black on top. When it's black, it's ready.
Get someone to help you apply the indigo, starting at the back. Cover your entire hair, and wrap it in saran wrap.
Wipe off the drips that run down quickly to avoid any stains. Laying on your back helps keep the indigo from dripping down.
Rinse the indigo off with cool water after 45 minutes to an hour.

I received my package well before the estimated shipping date. However, I received henna instead of indigo. I contacted the seller with a digital image of the package and its content. Seller sent me an apology and shipped the right product immediately without any additional charge or ask me to ship back the henna powder.The indigo I received is a high quality product, finely sifted and smooth, not like the gritty one I got from another seller. I used it together with my henna powder to get complete gray coverage and a lovely chestnut brown overtone on my dark hair. Very satisfy with this purchase. Will buy from this seller again. Recommended.

I used this in a henna indigo mix for med. brown color. I mixed 2/3 cup of Henna with 1/3 cup of indigo, 1/3 cup of Amla and 1/3 cup of cassia. It turned out med brown with auburn tint...absolutely beautiful color. I am very please with the indigo and will continue to by as long as it is available.

Finely sifted Indigo

I recently used this with the Henna mix I purchased and I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect. When I combined it with the awaiting Henna, I noticed it was finely sifted, almost powdery. It blended well with the Henna and I also noticed that I didn't have any "bits and pieces" left in my hair after rinsing the henna/indigo combo out like I am normally use to with just the Henna. Just to note, the Henna I used was not of the same brand. I will try the Henna from this retailer also.
